Plivalište Vukovar

The Vukovar swimming pool has an area of 5,128.2 square meters. Installing a solar power plant on the roof of the Vukovar swimming pool will pay off in just one year. Due to the size of the roof, the swimming pool will have the largest capacity of 350 kWp. The swimming pool consists of one indoor and three outdoor pools. One of the outdoor pools has massage jets and a slide, while the two smaller ones are used for recreation and training non-swimmers.

The new swimming pool is located on the site of the old pool, destroyed during the war. The project for its construction and renovation started in 2004 and was completed in 2017. The new pool was designed as a compact building filled with various facilities and programs related to water sports. The west side of the building has a multi-channel entrance. In addition to the main entrance on the ground floor for the public and visitors, there are two separate entrances on the sides that separate everyday users. Thus, athletes and recreational swimmers dive into the underground part of the building with changing rooms via a wide ramp, while on the other side, members of sports clubs and fitness enthusiasts enter through a large staircase.
