Vukovar 2 kindergarten is a public institution that provides preschool education programs and cares for children of early and preschool age. The basic activity of the kindergarten includes programs of upbringing, education, health care, nutrition, and social care for children from the age of one to the start of primary school. The kindergarten was founded back in 1998.
The mission of the kindergarten is to encourage the holistic psychophysical development of the child and to fulfill the rights of the Serbian national minority to education in their mother tongue by promoting the language, customs, and cultural heritage of the Serbian national minority in the Republic of Croatia.
The vision of the Kindergarten is to become a preschool institution that will develop and nurture the Serbian mother tongue and Croatian as a non-mother tongue with high quality work and interculturalism, contribute to developing a positive self-image and a sense of belonging to a multicultural community, and educate and prepare preschool children for successful participation in modern life.
