A place of trade, meetings, and socializing
The city of Vukovar has a centuries-old tradition as a trading and port city, and as such, trading on the Vukovar market has a long history. The market in Vukovar has changed its location over time until a few years ago when it came to its current location. Today, the market is located in a very modern building that provides better conditions for sales and gathering. The building has a total area of 3,191 square meters, of which 2,231 square meters are open space for sales and catering facilities. The indoor closed area of 960 square meters contains 28 business premises, sanitary facilities, and service rooms. Traders can display their products on 100 concrete benches. Business premises inside the building are equipped for the sale of food products, meat products, bakery products, fish, and for catering facilities. The uniqueness of this building was confirmed in 2018 when the Vukovar City Market won the prestigious Architecture, Construction & Design GADA 2019 award in the category of public buildings.
