Osnovna škola Nikole Andrića

Osnovna škola Nikole Andrića

One of the most modern schools in Croatia

200 students attend the primary school of Nikola Andrić in Vukovar, of which 94 are in lower grades and 106 are in higher grades. This school waited for more than 30 years for its reconstruction after being destroyed during the Croatian War of Independence. In 2022, the school was finally restored and is now one of the most modern primary schools in Croatia.

One area where student creativity can flourish is the student cooperative "Vrijedne Ruke" (Hardworking Hands) at the Nikola Andrić Elementary School in Vukovar. The student cooperative was founded on November 28, 2007 under the name "Mladost," and in 2014 it changed its name to "Vrijedne Ruke." The cooperative's work is based on thematic workshops held throughout the school year. Workshops are conducted during homeroom classes and through extracurricular activities. All products made during the workshops are exhibited in the city on important dates such as Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, and the proceeds from their sale are used to purchase new materials.
